The hike, which runs from 2 to 4 p.m., is perfect for all hikers, tree lovers, frog, and flower lovers.
During the hike, preserve officials will discuss the recent clearing of invasive species in the north end of the preserve and planting plans for volunteers on Arbor Day.
They will also provide information about the health of the preserve's hemlock forest and ongoing work to protect the area for future generations to enjoy.
And, of course, all will be on the lookout for signs of spring including frogs, toads, salamanders, and ephemeral flowering plants.
The walk begins on level ground and is easy to maneuver but becomes more difficult as hikers descend into the ravine area. Boots are recommended.
